L’AND MANIFESTO

REGAINING PERSPECTIVE

Guided by a desire to create a hotel with a real sense of place, L’AND Vineyards was born in 2011.

Reflecting the region's true identity, and with wine and wine culture at the root of our identity, L’AND aims to raise the bar in Portugal’s rural Alentejo by integrating modern architecture, interior and landscape design, nature, local crafts, sound, and scent to create an atmosphere of sober luxury and tranquillity, where guest can feel at home and revitalize.

We believe in simplicity and slowness.

One could say that an organization resembles those who create it: Our guests, teams and founders.

Our people and our region are at the essence of everything we do.

We seek to create and manage small scale exceptional hospitality projects that create economic, social and environmental value which in turn is shared with our community.

We aim to tread lightly and make a positive contribution to the region and strive for real environmental commitment in all aspects of our activity.

We believe service should be grounded on one simple idea: to treat our guests the same way we would like to be treated in similar circumstances.

Our service should be personalized, detailed, and enriching. It should be present but not felt.

L´AND Vineyards is promoted by a family-based agro-business company, Sousa Cunhal. The group created in the second half of the 19th century operates mainly in agriculture, forestry, and in enology.

“For over ten years, we have had the immense pleasure of writing the story of L’AND Vineyards by the side of our team and guests.

A story that places architecture, design, creativity and service at the heart of everything. Here’s to the next 10 years.”

José Sousa Cunhal, Founder & CEO at L’AND Vineyards
