L’AND RESORTS SA was founded in 2007 by Joseph Cunhal Sendim. L'AND Vineyards, the first of the L’AND projects, is based on an innovative concept of tourism development: the project is focused on an appreciation of contemporary architecture based on the Roman and Arabic patio style with a strong indoor / outdoor connection celebrating the cultivation of wine and vineyards with strong environmental and sustainability credentials as instrumental factors.In 2007 Land developed the wine club concept alowing owners to produce anually their own personal wine . In 2009 L´AND created the Sky View Suites: an hote room taht alows guest to open the roof and experience the night dark sky.
L’AND Resorts SA is part of the Portuguese family group SOUSA CUNHAL (www.sousacunhal.pt). The group originates from the "Praça Cunhal" estates in southern Portugal which has been operating since the second half of the 19th century. The core activity of the companies that make up the group has, since its inception, been asset management of the family and agroforestry production, processing and marketing of agricultural and livestock products, forestry and hunting. The group has diversified into business areas including insurance and banking since 1975 and tourism since 2001.
The L'AND Resorts SA is 10% owned by the Lagrimas Hotels Group SA.
